Hura Izakaya – Where the vibrant Shibuya street comes alive in the heart of Da Nang

Furama Dining House 2/9 kicks off with Hura Izakaya (first floor, opening December 2026), recreating the vibrant Shibuya street. The highlight is tabletop yakiniku grilling and the spirit of "Eat, Grill, Cheer."

Hura Izakaya – Where the vibrant Shibuya street comes alive in the heart of Da Nang

As part of Furama's journey to extend its culinary culture beyond the resort, Furama Dining House on 2/9 Street is envisioned as a multi-story culinary destination, where each floor offers a distinct style, culture, and experience. Here, guests will progressively discover Hura Izakaya on the 1st floor, Thai Siam Kitchen on the 2nd floor, and Cơm Niêu Cổ Vị on the 3rd floor for individual diners, with the 4th floor dedicated to group guests, gala dinners, and tour programs.

Kicking off this culinary journey is Hura Izakaya – a 120-seat Japanese izakaya-style restaurant on the 1st floor. It's designed as a vibrant slice of Tokyo, where the glow of lanterns, neon signs, eateries, the lively calls for orders, and the aroma from the grills blend together to create an energetic atmosphere. 91 Studio is the design unit for this project, and Furama Dining House 2/9 is expected to open in the first week of December 2026.

A Miniature Japanese Street within Furama Dining House

Stepping into Hura Izakaya, diners are transported to a bustling dining street in Shibuya – Tokyo, where dazzling signs, red and white lanterns, food stalls, narrow pathways, and dining nooks create the unique vibrant atmosphere of urban Japan.

Hura's space is not designed as a tranquil or overly formal Japanese restaurant. On the contrary, it embodies the spirit of a modern Japanese street: fun, fast-paced, lively, intimate, and full of emotion. Rows of high-hanging lanterns, Japanese-style signs, graphic wall art, booth seating, a central counter, and dining table arrangements evoke the feeling of walking through a yokocho – a Japanese food alley, where people can eat, drink, chat, and enjoy the evening after a day's work.

The concept images reveal a visually rich space: a central walkway flanked by seating areas, densely hung lanterns, Japanese signs, a color palette of red, white, black, and wood, and warm yellow lighting, all creating a distinct 'street indoors' sensation. This is Hura Izakaya's major differentiator: the restaurant doesn't just serve Japanese dishes; it recreates an authentic Japanese atmosphere that can be felt from the very first step.

Grilling at Your Table – The Central Experience at Hura Izakaya

At Hura Izakaya, the dining experience revolves around the spirit of yakiniku – grilling at your table. This is a beloved dining style in Japanese culture, where diners don't just wait for their food to be served but actively participate in the enjoyment process.

Each dining table becomes a gathering point. Meats, seafood, vegetables, and side dishes are prepared for guests to grill together, share, raise a toast, and savor the aromas wafting right at their table. It is precisely these moments that define the izakaya spirit: delicious food, a joyful atmosphere, endless conversations, and the connection among those gathered together.

The design views show grilling tables arranged in various configurations, suitable for groups of friends, families, tourists, and office guests; an overhead smoke extraction system is integrated into the design to enhance the convenience of the table-grilling experience. As a result, Hura Izakaya retains the lively spirit of a Japanese grill restaurant while meeting the operational demands of a modern establishment within Furama Dining House.

The 'Hura' Spirit – Delicious Food, Joyful Drinks, Connecting Together

The name Hura evokes sounds of joy, cheers, and excitement. While Vietnamese people are familiar with 'zô zô' and Japanese people with 'kanpai,' at Hura Izakaya, guests are invited to create their own unique toasting culture together:

Hura! Hura! Hura!

The three 'Hura' cheers are a greeting of joy, readiness, and connection. It's the sound that kicks off a meal, a gathering, and stories around the grill. Hura is more than just a restaurant name; Hura is the spirit of this space: youthful, enthusiastic, open, and full of energy.

Here, every meal is more than just enjoying Japanese cuisine. It's a true gathering: grilling together, eating together, toasting together, sharing together. The more people, the merrier Hura becomes. The more laughter, the more Hura embodies the true izakaya spirit.

Energetic Design, Inspired by Japanese Streets

Hura Izakaya's space is crafted from multiple layers of familiar imagery from Japanese food streets: red and white lanterns, high-hanging signs, noren curtains at the entrance, tiled walls, warm wood, booth seating, graphic posters, and golden lighting. All are combined to create a bustling atmosphere like a miniature dining street.

One of the concept's strengths is how the space is divided into multiple 'small storefronts' within the same restaurant. Each seating area feels like a small roadside eatery, yet it remains part of Hura Izakaya's unified whole. The interior facade concept images show layers of signs, lanterns, and facades stacked, creating a lively, rhythmic, and multi-perspective feel.

This design approach is perfectly suited for the 1st floor of Furama Dining House on 2/9 Street. The 1st floor needs to be a space that strongly attracts attention from the outside, sparks curiosity, draws guests in, and kicks off the entire building's experience. Hura Izakaya achieves this through visuals, sounds, lighting, and the enticing aromas from the grilling tables.

Hura Izakaya within the Furama Dining House Ecosystem

Furama Dining House on 2/9 Street is not just a building with one restaurant, but a multi-story culinary journey. In this journey, Hura Izakaya serves as the first touchpoint – the most youthful, vibrant, and capable of energizing the entire establishment.

While the 2nd floor's Thai Siam Kitchen brings the colors of Thailand, and the 3rd and 4th floors' Cơm Niêu Cổ Vị tell the story of Vietnamese rice dishes, Hura Izakaya on the 1st floor is Furama Dining House's enthusiastic welcome: a place that's easy to step into, easy to settle down in, easy to order more, and easy to return to with friends.

Hura Izakaya also represents a new direction for Furama: not just bringing cuisine outside the resort, but also integrating international dining experiences into Da Nang's urban life in a vibrant, approachable, and distinctive way. This is a crucial spirit in Furama Dining's expansion strategy: Beyond the Resort, Into the City.

A New Gathering Spot for Japanese-Style Fun in Da Nang

Hura Izakaya was born to be a gathering place. A place for friends to meet after work. A place for travelers to find the atmosphere of Tokyo in the heart of Da Nang. A place for families to enjoy grilling at their table. A place for colleagues to raise a toast and shout 'Hura!' on energetic evenings.

With its concept recreating the vibrant Shibuya street, the table-grilling experience, and the joyful izakaya spirit, Hura Izakaya promises to be one of the most impressive opening highlights of Furama Dining House on 2/9 Street.
