Steakhouse The Fan – A Journey of 4 Restaurants Where Cuisine and Art Meet
Steakhouse The Fan: Where fine dining meets wine, art, and sophisticated ambiance in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

From the shores of Furama Resort Danang to new spaces in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, Steakhouse The Fan continues its journey with four destinations. But no matter where, the spirit remains: a delicious steak, the perfect flame, a suitable glass of wine, art present in the space, and people coming together to create a memorable evening.

Some restaurants are remembered for a single dish.
Some places people return to for a familiar table corner, a bottle of wine once enjoyed on an anniversary, a painting they admired for a long time, or simply the feeling of a beautiful evening spent with loved ones.
Steakhouse The Fan aspires to be such a place.

From the first flame on Da Nang's shores
The story of The Fan is intertwined with the long-standing culinary journey of Furama Resort Danang.

Years ago, The Fan at Furama was introduced as a beachfront steakhouse, where diners could explore imported beef cuts from the US, Australia, and Japan in a sea-facing resort setting.

But steak at The Fan has never been just about an expensive ingredient.
At the heart of the experience is always fire.
The name “The Fan” also evokes the traditional fan used to stoke charcoal, keeping the flame burning at the right time and temperature. Simultaneously, “The Fan” carries a more playful meaning: a community of steak lovers, those who appreciate delicious dinners and distinctive culinary experiences.
From there, a philosophy gradually emerged:
Good ingredients require good technique.
Good technique requires emotion.
And a delicious dish becomes even more memorable when placed in a beautiful setting.

A significant part of The Fan's development journey is the mark of Chef Trần Văn Thiện.
Chef Thiện won the Gold Medal from the Vietnam Chefs' Association from 2013–2015 and became the Champion of the Young Vietnamese Chef competition in 2016.
For Chef Thiện, steak doesn't end with choosing a good cut of meat.
From ingredient selection, meat preparation, temperature control, to the moment the steak is taken off the fire, each step affects the texture, juiciness, and final flavor. At The Fan, the menu is developed based on carefully selected imported ingredients, with options such as Wagyu, Australian beef, and USDA beef. The Fan's menu at Kim Long Villas once featured everything from Australian Wagyu MB3+, USDA CAB Tomahawk to Wagyu 9+ and Japanese Wagyu A5.
But what's more remarkable is how these ingredients are transformed into an experience.

Fire creates the perfect sear.
Meat retains its juiciness.
Sauce completes the flavor.
Wine extends the conversation at the table.
And the chef stands at the heart of all these elements.
When a Steakhouse becomes a gallery
If steak and fire create the “culinary” part, then art creates a very different half of The Fan.
Stepping into The Fan, diners don't just see dining tables.

Paintings adorn the walls. Lighting is kept at a warm hue. Wood, metal, the wine bar, glasses, and artworks together create multiple visual layers.
Some guests come for steak but then spend a considerable amount of time standing before a painting.
Some choose a bottle of wine and then find a beautiful corner to sit.

And on some evenings, the restaurant becomes the backdrop for a birthday, an anniversary, or an important date.
This very intersection has become a recognized hallmark of the brand.
* “Must-Visit Aesthetic Dining Experience” – Flavors Awards 2024*

In 2024, Steakhouse The Fan was honored at the Flavors Awards with the “Must-Visit Aesthetic Dining Experience” award – an outstanding culinary experience combined with art.
The Flavors Awards recognized The Fan for how the restaurant combines culinary experiences with artistic spaces. Vietcetera described the restaurant as a gallery with curated artworks on the walls, while the steak experience focuses on ingredient quality and preparation techniques.
The award is therefore quite close to what The Fan has pursued from the beginning.
It's not cuisine standing next to art.
But rather cuisine and art participating together in one experience.
A beautifully seared steak also has its own visual language.
A bottle of wine tells a story of its land and time.
A painting evokes emotion even before the main course arrives.
And when all these meet around a table, dinner becomes more than just eating well.
From Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City – four destinations, one The Fan spirit

From its starting point at Furama Resort Danang, The Fan's journey has gradually expanded.

The brand has now evolved into a journey of four destinations in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, including The Fan at Furama Resort, MM Supercenter Nguyễn Sinh Sắc, Kim Long Villas in South Saigon, and the new destination at Furama Dining House – An Thượng.

Each location has a different ambiance and rhythm of life.
But The Fan doesn't seek to create four identical restaurants.
What is preserved is the common DNA:
Steak. Fire. Wine. Art. People.
At Kim Long Villas, Ho Chi Minh City, the steak and art experience has become a prominent hallmark, and this very location was highlighted when The Fan received the Flavors Awards 2024.

Meanwhile, at Furama Dining House, The Fan embarks on a new chapter in Da Nang's An Thượng neighborhood.
The Fan at Furama Dining House – a gallery for beautiful evenings
Located on the 3rd floor of Furama Dining House, The Fan brings the spirit of steak & wine into a space more attuned to An Thượng's nightlife.
One of the first impressive features is the Wine Gallery.
Wine bottles become part of the architecture rather than simply stored away. Surrounding them are wood, warm yellow light, deep-toned walls, and colorful artworks.
Here, an evening can begin with selecting wine.
Followed by appetizers.
The sizzle of steak hitting the grill.
An extended conversation.
And perhaps ending with a birthday cake brought out under warm lights.
That's also why The Fan is suitable not only for steak lovers, but also for couples, families, groups of friends, private business dinners, birthdays, anniversaries, or simply a day one wishes to make special.
Because ultimately, a restaurant is most beautiful when people create its story
A restaurant can invest in delicious meat.
It can build a beautiful wine cellar.
It can hang beloved paintings.
But only when people step in, sit down, and begin to share with each other, does it all truly gain meaning.
A birthday.
A wish.
A clink of glasses.
A photograph.
Or simply the phrase:
“This steak is truly delicious today.”
These are small things, but they are precisely what The Fan wishes to preserve on its journey.
From a beachfront steakhouse at Furama Resort Danang to four destinations in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, The Fan continues to revolve around something seemingly simple: Delicious food. Fine wine. Beautiful art. And the right people gathered around the table.
When these elements come together, a dinner can become a memory.
